                CORE-PROCESS PSYCHOTHERAPY WITH VOYTEK ROGOWSKI
Everyone at some stage in their life will meet periods of stress, confusion and sadness. Psychotherapy can help you to make sense of what is happening to you at difficult times in your life. Psychotherapy works with symptoms associated with:
-relationship difficulties
-stress, fear, anxiety, anger
-depression, moodiness, sadness
-unfullfilment
-trauma due to e.g. accident or abuse
-a need to be more in control of your life
-spiritual growth
You may worry that your problems are small in comparison to some people’s. Your problem is as big as the feeling you have about it. If you are feeling troubled then it is important.
I have been trained in Core Process Psychotherapy at Karuna Institute- a member of the association of a accredited psychospiritual psychotherapists section of the UK Council for Psychotherapy. UKCP is the organization which set standards for psychotherapy in the UK.
My previous training and qualifications include NCFE in Person- Centered Counseling and a course in Group Analytic Psychotherapy. I have long experience of work in voluntary and statutory organizations offering counseling and psychotherapeutic skills.

Why see a counsellor?
Experience and research show that counselling and therapy can help people understand themselves and deal better with challenging situations. They can help relieve stress, anxiety and depression and strengthen your sense of self and purpose, leading to more genuine connections with others, wiser choices and new ways of living.

How I can help
I understand that you could feel anxious about coming to see a counsellor, especially for the first time.

I am a counsellor working at the North London Buddhist Centre in
Islington. I offer a regular time and a safe, empathic and non-judgemental setting, where we work together to explore and understand your difficulties, giving you the time and space to come to your own choices and solutions.

I am an experienced BACP accredited and UKRCP registered psychodynamic therapist, also drawing on Person Centred counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) in my practice. I've practiced since 2005, substantially in the NHS and voluntary sectors.

Special interests
Particular interests are the often linked issues of bereavement, loss and depression, attachment patterns, eating disorders, managing change and unexplained physical symptoms including chronic pain or bouts of illness which don't respond to medical intervention.

Who do I work with?
I work with adults (individuals and couples) and with a wide range of difficulties, including anxiety, stress, depression, eating disorders, family/relationship problems and workplace issues, for open-ended or short-term counselling. I work in several London locations, including Islington. NLBC is close to Highbury station on the Victoria Line and Holloway Road on the Piccadilly Line, both being accessible to people living, working or passing through central or north London.

Fees

£50-£60 per 50 minute session, with some flexibility and concessions depending on your income and circumstances.
I offer a free initial (15 minute) phone consultation to help you decide if this could be for you. Please see my website or call me for further information.

Feeling anxious, depressed or 'stuck'
Many of us during our lives will experience periods of stress, anxiety, depression, confusion or sadness that we find hard to cope with. These can become severe and disabling, interfering with living, and it's not always possible or advisable to talk to family and friends about them. Seeing a counsellor can be helpful, talking and being listened to in complete confidence.
